Wuji, 無極, means limitless or infinite, the “ultimate of nothingness,” and it is the state of the empty mind that we practice sitting or standing. Taiji is movement that is born from that stillness. Movement of duality, that contains both, yin and yang.
13 principles of Tai Chi movement (Wu Xin Ba Fa) are foundational guidelines that come from classical Chinese martial arts philosophy. They guide both the physical and internal aspects of practice. These principles are derived from combining 8 "Jin" (energies) with 5 "Steps" (directions). It is said all other skills of Tai Chi come from different variation and combination of these skills.
